The Texas Pecan Board
Welcome to the Texas Pecan Board.
The Board was established in 1998 after
pecan growers throughout Texas voted into effect a 1/2 cent
per pound pecan assessment to provide funds for promotion and
research. Pecan producers with at least 15 acres on a minimum
are required under the Texas Commodity Referendum law to pay
the assessment. The assessment is refundable and is collected
by the first handler of the pecans and then submitted to the
Texas Pecan Board.
