The Pecan Board was created by the Texas Legislature in 1998, and during its short existence has been responsible for continuing efforts of spreading the word that pecans are good and good for you. Texas is one of the largest producers of pecans in the nation, and in fact in the world. The Texas Pecan Crop is very important to the nation’s consumers.
